Ryan Dominates the Showdown

Points leader Tim Ryan put on another dominant display at the Motum Simulation Showdown, Round 7 of the 360 Power Series. Ryan started the night off right setting quicktime in Qualifying with a lap of 13.334, in what was a suprise packet, Mitchell Motorsport driver Brad O’Brien was a incredible 2nd quick.

Ryan, Tom Callaghan, Lewis Hewett and Joel Berkley would all their respective heat races.

Danny Vassall, Thomas Mitchell and Ryan Harris would win the D,C,B Mains respectively.

In a season first, the WSS Top 8 Shootout would feature at Charlotte, American David Heileman would be the biggest mover coming from the Bronze Shootout (7th) to start P3 in the A main but it was Tim Ryan who flexed his muscles and won the Gold Shootout stopping the clock at 15.016.

35 Laps was on the board for the twenty drivers taking the green. The first incident was unfortunately between the two Slick Simsports drivers as Hewett & Heileman made contact which would see Heileman’s race over. Again it was won of the races of the season, the battle for the 3rd spot was intense all race long between Hewett, Harry Stewart, Kaidon Brown and Dale Jordison, Brown and Jordison SRT team mates both came from the B main put in a stellar drive but in the end it was a Tim Ryan dominantion and a clean sweep of the evening for the 2nd time in the series winning by over 8 seconds. Joel Berkley would run second and Lewis Hewett would claim third.

Our Simspon Safety Aust Hard Charger award went to Kaidon Brown who advanced from 14th on the grid to finish 6th.

Next week see’s the series take a week off before we head to USA Raceway for the JP’s Sim Shed Shootout.
