Going into Round 9 of the Oceanic Sim Racing Formula 3 Championship 381 points adrift of championship leader Adam Briggs, Cameron Dance signalled his intention to reduce that gap in defiant fashion.
Starting from pole, Dance would go on to lead all 23 laps of Sebring International Raceway on his way to the win, picking up the fastest lap on his way. The TTL Esports driver ending up 12.8s clear of 2nd place Guy Leach and 25s ahead of 3rd place Alex John.
While starting from 3rd on the grid, it wasn’t the race Adam Briggs was hoping for. Early issues cost the DPR Racing driver significant time and forced him into an early pit stop. The points leader was not to be deterred though and made a recovery to an 8th place finish.
Briggs will hold onto the lead in the championship lead but will need to perform well in the final 2 races to hold off quick Kiwi Cam Dance. Both remaining races will be broadcast live and you can catch the, by tuning in to Sim Speed TV 9.15pm AEDT Thursdays. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM6hpzaXiYP48MaUbAcvQk
