More details of the second season of the Geodesic GoPro Championship have been announced by series organisers.
In a change from Season 1’s GTE and GT3 machinery, Season 2 will be contested with GT3 and GT4 machinery. With the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport announced to be joining iRacing in the next major build cycle, this new class will attract a lot of attention and certainly be one to watch in Season 2.
A provisional 8 round calendar has been announced, with the series to visit Interlagos, Barber, VIR, Montreal, Barcelona, Mid-Ohio, Mosport, and finish at Daytona.
Yet to be finalised is the prize structure, competitors will no doubt be hoping for trophies, round cash round prizes, or season champion major prizes of Season 1 to continue into the new season.
The inaugural season was broadcast on the iRacing eSports Netwoek, and once again every round will be broadcast by SimSpeedTV, with platforms yet to be announced.
Registration for Geodesic GoPro Championship Season 2 opens January 27th 2020, with prequalifying to take place in March.
