Slick Simsports ace Joel Berkley won his third A-Main of the season taking out the JP’s Sim Shed 360 Shootout presented by Abruzzi Racewear at USA Speedway in what was the first A Main of the series that went caution free in the A Main.
Tim Ryan took out his 4th Quicktime of the series stopping the clocks at 19.143. In a surprise twist, American Hayden Cardwell also did the exact same lap time but with tims average over the two laps faster he got the nod for Quicktime.
Our Heat Winners were Aston Hurley, Kaidon Brown, Aaron Kelly and Harry Stewart.
Damian Rasmussen, David Heileman and Tim Ryan would win the D,C and B mains respectively with some big names like Hewett and Cardwell failing to make the A Main
A 6 Lap dash was run to determine our top 8 starting grid for the A main and Berkley drove from 7th to win the dash to start pole in the 30 Lap A Main.
With Joel from pole and championship leader Ryan starting 13th, Berkley had to win to help his championship cause, and that’s exactly what he did. In what was a great race and the first caution free A Main of the series, Berkley didn’t have it his own way with Kaidon Brown challenging early and his Slick team mate Jock Goodyer gave him a run for his money until Goodyer ran out of fuel coming to the white flag while running 2nd which was a tough break for the real life sprintcar star. Ryan drove a fantastic race to finish 2nd in the A and earn the Simpson Safety Australia hard charger award moving forward from 13th to 2nd, and another real life sprintcar star, wildcard Jordyn Charge finished 3rd.
The championship battle has tightened with Ryans lead down to 15 points over Berkley with Stewart,Hewett and Bradley Oldfield in the Top 5
Next week the series heads to Williams Grove Speedway for the running of the Supa F Series Spares Silver Cup.
