Joshua Anderson has triumphed in Round 5 of OSR GT1 Challenge, starting from pole and leading all but 1 lap. The JPR Racing duo of Reece Gucul and Jon Piesnik gave good chase, and completed the podium positions.

The circuit drew record participation, with 38 drivers making an attempt at the race. However in typical Bathurst fashion, notorious corners Skyline, Forest Elbow, and The Cutting would claim many victims. At the finish, only 12 had completed the full 20 laps of the race.

Crucially for the championship, Craig Edwards’ 4th place was the best result of the full season drivers. Title rivals Marie Hruschka and Beau Albert both had their races cut short by separate accidents, while Alan Holgersson was able to bring his Aston Martin DBR9 home in one piece for 5th place.

Next week the Oceanic Sim Racing GT1 Challenge moves to Suzuka Circuit in Japan. Coverage will once again be 9.15pm Thursday on SimSpeed TV.
