Fresh Positive Simracing signing Tim Delisle wasted no time causing a splash, landing pole position for Round 9 of the Oceanic Sim Racing Formula 3 Championship at Road Atlanta by a stopwatch squeezing 0.007s. 20 laps and 1 compulsory pitstop later Delisle converted the pole to his first series victory.
Delisle’s biggest challenger in both qualifying and the race would be Apex Racing UK’s Scott Newton, who kept the pressure on and closed through the pitstop sequence, but ultimately finished where he started in 2nd place.
Aaron Lee representing Evolution Racing Team kept his title hopes alive by securing the final position on one of the closest podiums of the season, the ERT driver just 4.1s behind the winner in a race with no safety car interventions.
